ShoreMaster Floating PolyDock
The ShoreMaster
PolyDock floating dock is a very modular and
nice looking system. The design is a brick pattern in
a sandstone color. Easy on the eyes! The
sections come in three
different sizes - 4' x 6', 4' x 10', 6' x 8' which
allows you many different ways to configure your new
dock! Corner sections available also!

The floating system is
used in areas such as very mucky bottoms, deep water
applications, (over 6 to 8ft) and/or where the water can
fluctuate a lot during the course of the season.
Typically, when starting from shore, will be some type of
pivoting ramp system (several options are available).
This allows for transition from shore to water. In areas such as
rivers, longer ramps (gangways) are needed because of the
large fluctuation of water.
 |
The connectors to join the dock
sections together are of thick poly and designed for easy installation. They
sandwich the top and bottom of the floating sections together.
They are C shaped, and interlock into the outside
edges of the sections. |

Pipe brackets are placed approximately every 20' or
so (depending upon application) and at the ends of
sections.
|
|
It is common to place augers on the ends of
the anchoring pipe. We use a 24" pipe wrench,
(or chain wrench) to twist
the pipe into the lake or river bottom. Think
of the anchoring pipe as "locating pins". They do
not support weight!

ShoreMaster Floating FTS9 Dock
The ShoreMaster
FTS9 floating dock system is aluminum framed
design, very similar to ShoreMasters TS9 wheel or sectional
system in that it offers the quick attach features.
Aluminum truss frames have various sizes of floats that can
be attached to the bottom channel to create the flotation.
The frames come in several
different sizes. Standard sizes are 4'x16',
6'x16', 4'x8' and 6'x8'. There is also a 2'x4' and
4'x4' size which allows you more flexibility in designing
your own unique dock system.

| 12" tall poly
floats are commonly used to keep freeboard similar
to standing or wheel in dock. Many different float
sizes are used depending upon application.
|
The frame is
constructed of all aluminum for maximum durability
and it features a 9" side height for
superior strength-to-weight ratio. |
 |
The FTS9
frame-to-frame connection points are through-bolted with
stainless steel bolts and brass nuts.
